KATHMANDU: The poster of the movie Laaj Sharam has heightened expectations for the film.

Featuring both comedy and drama, the poster has stirred curiosity about the movie.

A well-designed poster is an essential promotional tool for any movie. When the design captures the essence of the story, it can increase audience interest.

The Laaj Sharam poster has succeeded in doing just that.

A successful poster generates excitement, leading audiences to eagerly await the film’s release. This success has been achieved by Laaj Sharam.

Posters, teasers, and trailers serve as summaries of a film. While the teaser and trailer of Laaj Sharam are yet to be released, the poster has already created a buzz.

The production team released three posters simultaneously, each well-received by the audience. This has kept viewers eager for the film’s release. Whether the teaser and trailer can maintain the same level of anticipation remains to be seen.

What’s in the Poster?

The team behind Laaj Sharam released three posters, each blending serious themes with comedy. The posters suggest the film’s narrative without revealing too much.

The posters feature several main cast members. Five actors appear in the visuals, with four easily recognizable, while one is unknown.

In the first poster, Hari Naroula (Cockroach), Bijay Baral, Sagar Lamsal (Bale), and Arjun Ghimire (Paadey) are seen inside a coffin.

Their expressions mix surprise and amusement, hinting at the idea of what one might experience after death.

The second poster shows a person standing on a coffin, holding a scale. On the scale, Yarsa (a medicinal herb) and a gold biscuit are weighed, with the gold appearing heavier.

In the background, a mountain and a village are visible. This poster explores themes of greed and how people are driven to death in pursuit of wealth.

The third poster features Hari Niraula and Bijay Baral. Vijay is seen blowing a conch made from a human bone on Hari’s back. This scene hints at themes of revenge, indicating that Bijay’s character plays a significant role in the film.

The posters effectively depict societal issues like scarcity, the struggles of common Nepali people, and the reality of facing death, whether in the homeland or abroad. The visuals also highlight the role of money and materialism in posthumous existence.
