Shekhar Koirala to address UK Parliament at Westminster

KATHMANDU: Senior leader of the Nepali Congress, Dr. Shekhar Koirala, is set to deliver a historic address at the UK Parliament in Westminster on Jan 13.

This marks the first time a Nepali leader will address ministers and members of the British Parliament inside the iconic parliamentary building.

The special event will feature the presence of UK Minister for Asia, Catherine West, Minister for Industry, Trade, and Commerce, Gareth Thomas, and other British MPs. Dr. Koirala was formally invited to speak at the event by Ministers West and Thomas.

Dr. Koirala is scheduled to depart for the UK on Jan 9 for this landmark engagement.
