KATHMANDU: The Central Committee meeting of the CPN (Maoist Centre) is scheduled to begin today at 1 PM at the party’s central office in Parisdanda.

According to party Vice-Chair and Spokesperson Agni Prasad Sapkota, the meeting will discuss the political and organizational report to be presented by Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda.’

The Standing Committee meeting held earlier had decided that Dahal would present a report titled “Commitment to Party Transformation and Reconstruction: The Need of the Hour.”

The meeting will commence with a briefing by Chair Dahal on the current political situation, followed by an in-depth discussion on the report.

To finalize the procedural aspects of the Central Committee meeting, the Standing Committee convened this morning.

Central Office Secretary Dor Prasad Upadhyaya informed that the meeting will include 409 full Central Committee members, 205 alternate members, 75 members from three commissions, and over 100 office bearers from seven geographical and three non-geographical provinces, making a total of 789 participants.
