Teenager dies in motorcycle-truck collision in Biratnagar
The deceased has been identified as Suraj Thakur, a resident of Biratnagar-15.
KATHMANDU: A 16-year-old teenage boy lost his life after a motorcycle collided with a truck in Biratnagar on Friday evening.
The accident occurred when a motorcycle (Province 1-02-041 Pa 1321) heading in the opposite direction collided with a truck (JH 15 J 7103) returning from the new Customs Office (ICP) towards Biratnagar.
The deceased has been identified as Suraj Thakur, a resident of Biratnagar-15.
He was riding the motorcycle at the time of the incident.
Two others, Aditya Sah (16) from Biratnagar-15 and Bikash Kumar Yadav (18) from Biratnagar-14, sustained injuries in the crash.
They are currently receiving medical treatment, according to police reports.
Police revealed that three individuals were riding the motorcycle.
The truck involved in the accident was loaded with coal and overturned on the roadside following the collision.
Further investigation into the incident is underway, authorities said.
