Eight new members sworn into NSC board

KATHMANDU: Eight newly appointed board members of the National Sports Council (NSC) took the oath of office in a program held at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Singha Durbar.

Youth and Sports Minister Tejulal Chaudhary administered the oath.

The new board members include Shanta Kumari Chaudhary (Jhapa), Anand Kumar Jha (Saptari), Suvarna Shrestha (Lalitpur), Kamal Bahadur Bhattarai (Sarlahi), Himal Kumar Shrestha (Gulmi), Nanda Basyal (Surkhet), Jagat Singh Dhami (Darchula), and Bhanu Bahadur Chand (Kanchanpur).

Minister Chaudhary congratulated the appointees and urged them to deliver exceptional results during their four-year tenure.

The appointments were made during a Cabinet meeting on Dec 24.
