GIBL celebrates 18th anniversary with nationwide blood donation drive

KATHMANDU: Global IME Bank Limited marked its 18th anniversary by organizing a grand blood donation program across all seven provinces of Nepal.
The bank, which entered its 19th year on Thursday, Jan 2, also conducted free eye check-ups, blood pressure, and diabetes screenings as part of its celebration.
The blood donation events were hosted at several branches, including Koshi Province’s Itahari branch, Janakpur branch in Madhesh Province, Kantipath and Narayangadh branches in Bagmati Province, New Road branch in Pokhara for Gandaki Province, Milan Chowk branch in Butwal and Nepalgunj branch in Lumbini Province, Surkhet branch in Karnali Province, and the Dhangadhi branch in Sudurpashchim Province.
Altogether, 757 donors participated in the blood donation program.
Additionally, 119 individuals received free eye check-ups, while 200 others underwent blood pressure and diabetes tests with professional consultations.
The initiative highlights Global IME Bank’s commitment to corporate social responsibility by directly benefiting communities through impactful programs.
