KATHMANDU: India struggled against Australia’s pace attack in the fifth and final Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, being bowled out for 185 runs in the first innings.

Rishabh Pant top-scored for India with 40 runs, while Ravindra Jadeja contributed 26, and skipper Jasprit Bumrah added a quick 22.

Shubman Gill managed 20 runs, while Virat Kohli was dismissed for 17.

Washington Sundar (14), Yashasvi Jaiswal (10), KL Rahul (4), Prasidh Krishna (3), and Mohammed Siraj (3) had minimal contributions.

Nitesh Kumar Reddy departed for a duck. India gained 26 extra runs.

In bowling, Scott Boland shone for Australia with 4 wickets, Mitchell Starc took 3, captain Pat Cummins claimed 2, and Nathan Lyon secured 1 wicket.
