KATHMANDU: With a radiant smile and a melodious voice, Sachin Pariyar captivated hearts nationwide, rising to fame almost overnight.

Born in Gulmi, Sachin became a social media sensation, eventually making his way to the bustling streets of Kathmandu, where his talent brought him opportunities to perform alongside notable stars.

Sachin’s journey to stardom began when a local YouTube channel in Gulmi interviewed him. The video quickly went viral on TikTok, drawing widespread attention.

Later, his appearance on Krishna Kandel’s popular show Indreni, where he performed a song, further solidified his fame.

His newfound popularity opened doors to numerous opportunities—interviews, acting in TV series, singing, and dancing. Sachin’s charm and talent made him a household name, with his videos frequently trending on YouTube.

However, this fame came at a cost. He soon became entangled in the self-serving interests of his family and certain YouTubers.

As a viral child singer, Sachin recorded several hit songs, including Oth Kholera, Rato Rubber, Rumal Khaschha Ki, Ke Cha Hajur, and Barko Chhayale.

He even had the chance to act in a music video alongside veteran actor Rajesh Hamal and perform in the comedy TV serial Meri Bassai.

Sachin’s signature greeting, “Thik Cha Hajur, Ke Cha Hajurko Khabar?” won over many fans.

Sadly, at just 13, this promising talent passed away, leaving no one to ask or answer his cheerful inquiries anymore.

Sachin died early Thursday morning while undergoing treatment in the ICU at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj.

His untimely demise has plunged social media into mourning. Despite efforts from generous donors who contributed to his treatment, his fragile health couldn’t be saved.

Known for his physical frailty, Sachin had previously been hospitalized, during which kind-hearted individuals supported his recovery.

His family had recently sought financial assistance again for his treatment, highlighting the struggles he faced in his final days.

Sachin’s rise to fame was as swift as it was tumultuous. His popularity earned him admission to a reputed school in Kathmandu, yet his education was disrupted by the exploitative tendencies of his family and others. Allegations surfaced against his father, Tejendra Pariyar, accusing him of hindering Sachin’s education.

The death of Sachin has drawn condolences from various quarters, including artists and leaders.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli expressed his sorrow on Facebook, writing: “The news of the passing of child singer Sachin Pariyar deeply saddens me. This incident, where a talented young boy fell victim to familial discord and the viral culture of social media, serves as a lesson to approach sensitive social issues with care. My heartfelt condolences to Sachin Pariyar.”

Singer Shiva Pariyar also paid tribute, expressing hope that no child would face the fate Sachin endured. He extended his condolences, calling for better protection for children in the future.

Sachin was in high demand at fairs and festivals, where his sweet voice and charming demeanor drew widespread admiration.

However, in his later days, he was reportedly seen begging for money on the streets, reflecting the hardships he faced despite his fame.

Ultimately, Sachin Pariyar’s life, marked by extraordinary talent and numerous struggles, came to an end far too soon.

A budding flower that faced numerous storms, he leaves behind a legacy of music and a poignant reminder of the complexities of viral fame.
