MDF & Kumari Job join hands for KTCR 2025

KATHMANDU: Maina Devi Foundation (MDF), a leading non-profit organization driving environmental initiatives in Nepal, has partnered with Kumari Job Pvt. Ltd., Nepal’s premier job site and HR consulting firm, as the title sponsor for the Kathmandu Trash Collection Race (KTCR) 2025.

Scheduled for Jan 11, the Kathmandu Trash Collection Race 2025 is more than just a race—it is a movement for change.

With a 5-kilometer route starting from Tinkune, this event invites participants to pair up, compete, and make an impact by collecting trash along the way.

This unique initiative combines fitness, teamwork, and environmental responsibility, aiming to raise awareness about the importance of greenery and combating climate change.

The KTCR 2025 expects to mobilize 300+ volunteers and host over 3,000 participants, making it one of the largest environmental races in the country. Participants will serve as advocates for sustainability, sending a strong message about the need to preserve and protect our planet.

Since its establishment in 2014, Kumari Job has been a pioneer in bridging the gap between job seekers and businesses, committed to honesty, professionalism, and a deep understanding of client needs.

Through this partnership, Kumari Job steps forward to not only support employment but also to actively contribute to building an environmentally conscious community.

The Maina Devi Foundation has been actively organizing this initiative for past 3 years. This year, race commences at 7 AM from Tinkune and concludes at Maitighar, during which participants not only run but also collect waste along the route.

The collected waste is systematically managed in collaboration with the Kathmandu Metropolitan City, ensuring effective disposal and environmental sustainability, as informed by the organizers.
