KATHMANDU: National Dhoti Diwas was observed today at Maitighar Mandala in Kathmandu.
The event was organized by the Student Janamat Association on Wednesday, with prominent figures, including Janamat Party Chairperson CK Raut, in attendance.
Participants carried placards with slogans such as “Stop mocking us as ‘Dhoti Bhaiya’,” “Dhoti is our pride, the identity of Madhesis,” and “Dhoti is our national attire.”
On the same day, the 12th National Dress and Topi Diwas was celebrated across the country with various programs emphasizing Nepal’s cultural diversity.
