KATHMANDU: Five Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) have been transferred within Nepal Police.
The Ministry of Home Affairs made the decision on Tuesday night, based on recommendations from the police headquarters.
According to the transfer list, SSP Binod Ghimire has been assigned to the Metropolitan Traffic Police Office.
SSP Bhupendra Bahadur Khatri, who was recently transferred from the Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Range, has been reassigned to Bharatpur Police Training Center.
SSP Shekhar Khanal, previously stationed at the Lalitpur Police Range, has been transferred to the Kathmandu Valley Police Office, Ranipokhari.
SSP Shyam Krishna Adhikari has been posted to the Lalitpur Police Range, while SSP Somendra Singh Rathore has been transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport.
The Kathmandu Police Range remains unchanged, although there are reports that some SSPs are lobbying to replace SSP Basanta Bahadur Rjoure.
