NOC hikes fuel prices
The price of petrol has risen by Rs 1.09 per liter, while diesel and kerosene prices have gone up by Rs 2.22 per liter.
KATHMANDU: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has increased the prices of petroleum products, effective from today.
The price of petrol has risen by Rs 1.09 per liter, while diesel and kerosene prices have gone up by Rs 2.22 per liter.
Similarly, domestic aviation fuel prices have increased by Rs 2 per liter.
In contrast, the price of international aviation fuel has been reduced by USD 15 per kiloliter. However, the price of cooking LPG remains unchanged.
Under the new price structure, petrol is now priced at Rs 160.50 per liter, and diesel/kerosene at Rs 150.50 per liter in the first category, which includes areas like Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amalekhgunj, Bhalbari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, and Birgunj.
In the second category, petrol costs Rs 162 per liter, and diesel/kerosene costs Rs 152 per liter. This category covers Surkhet and Dang.
In the third category, which includes Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal, petrol is priced at Rs 163 per liter, while diesel/kerosene costs Rs 153 per liter.
For aviation fuel, domestic prices are set at Rs 126 per liter. International aviation fuel prices are set at USD 960 per kiloliter in Kathmandu, USD 793 in Pokhara, and USD 778 in Bhairahawa.
