KATHMANDU: Global IME Bank Limited has marked its 18th anniversary by launching the “Healthy Women Initiative” as part of its corporate social responsibility.

The bank is collaborating with the Family Planning Association of Nepal to organize free one-day women’s health camps across all seven provinces.

The camps, starting on Thursday, Jan 2, will provide services such as women’s health checkups, VIA screenings for cervical cancer, treatment for uterine prolapse cases, and free medication. Expert gynecologists will lead the initiative, ensuring quality care for attendees.

The program aims to identify early signs of cervical cancer and diagnose severe cases, which will be treated through surgeries in the second phase of the Healthy Women Initiative.

The health camps are scheduled as follows:

Bagmati Province: Saraswati Tol Hall, Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan Ward No. 11, Makwanpur (Jan 2, Thursday).
Madhesh Province: Rajdevi Temple Hall, Kalaiya Sub-Metropolitan Ward No. 1, Bara (Jan 4, Friday).
Gandaki Province: Bhuk Health Post, Modi Rural Municipality Ward No. 1, Parbat (Jan 4, Saturday).
Koshi Province: Barkhi Tol, Basic Health Post, Ward No. 12, Biratnagar Metropolitan, Morang (Jan 5, Monday).
Lumbini Province: Family Planning Association Clinic, Ward No. 11, Shainamaina Municipality, Rupandehi (Jan 7 Wednesday).

Sudurpaschim Province: Syaule Basic Health Post, Godawari Municipality Ward No. 8, Kailali (Jan 12, Monday).

The initiative aims to enhance healthcare access for women in rural and semi-urban areas with limited health services. The bank hopes this effort will leave a lasting positive impact on these communities.
