Police inspector Tuladhar dies as bus overturns at checkpoint
Despite being rushed to a hospital for treatment, he succumbed to his injuries.
KATHMANDU: An Armed Police Force (APF) inspector lost his life after a bus overturned at the checkpoint in Chatauna, Balara Municipality-9, Sarlahi.
The incident involved a bus with license plate Ba 006 Kha 2004, which overturned at the checkpoint, fatally crushing Inspector Bijay Tuladhar of the Armed Border Outpost, Chatauna.
According to police reports, the bus overturned and struck Tuladhar, who was standing nearby and talking on the phone.
Despite being rushed to a hospital for treatment, he succumbed to his injuries.
The bus toppled after hitting a drum placed at the checkpoint. Tuladhar’s body has been kept at Provincial Hospital, Malangwa.
Meanwhile, police have taken three crew members of the bus into custody for further investigation. There were no passengers onboard at the time of the incident.
