Poison incident of Bardibas: One student dies, 2 recovering

KATHMANDU: An incident unfolded on Tuesday as three first-year students of the Nirmal Lama Polytechnic Institute reportedly consumed poison together after failing an examination.

Police rescued her from a forested area in Bardibas-4 in an unconscious state, but Dr. Roshan Adhikari of Bardibas Hospital confirmed that she had died before reaching the hospital.
The other two students, Usha Pandit and Sanju Yadav, are receiving treatment at Shubha Swastik Hospital in Bardibas, where Dr. Uday Deewakar reported their health condition as stable.
According to Dhawa Yonjan, Administrative Officer of the Polytechnic Institute, the three were students of Geomatics Engineering and were residing in a rented apartment in Khairmara.
Police are investigating the circumstances leading to the incident, as reports suggest the trio had gone out of contact before being found.
Efforts are also ongoing to confirm if a fourth individual was involved, as initial accounts remain unclear.
