KATHMANDU: The cast and director of the movie Karsang have stated that the film touches the hearts of the audience with its profound themes.

Although it tells the story of a specific community and region, they believe the movie has a universal appeal that resonates with everyone.

Actor Dayahang Rai, who plays a character from a poor economic background in Karsang, reminisced about his experience in Jhakri.

He shared, “In Jhakri, my character needed to learn shamanic practices. I had to dance in fire, and I thought, ‘This is a movie; it might be a trick.’ But the practitioners assured me that nothing would happen, and their chants would protect me from the flames. I tried, and it worked. They had knowledge that helped me succeed.”

Dayahang believes that while people may dismiss shamanic practices as superstition, they do hold power through years of practice and experience. In Karsang, he experienced something extraordinary he had never done before.
