3 college students in Mahottari consume poison together

KATHMANDU: Three students of Nirmal Lama Polytechnic Institute in Khairmara, Mahottari, reportedly consumed poison together after failing an examination.

Among them, two were found unconscious in a forested area, while one is still missing.

The trio, first-year students of Geometric Engineering, had gone out of contact before being discovered.

Upon searching, two of them were found unconscious, and efforts are ongoing to locate the missing student, according to the police.

The two unconscious students are receiving treatment at Shubha Swastik Hospital in Bardibas.

The police have investigated the incident, as the students were staying in a rented apartment in Khairmara while pursuing their studies.
