NIC Asia Bank inaugurates library in Rupandehi’s school
The library was inaugurated on Dec 27.
KATHMANDU: NIC Asia Bank, under its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, inaugurated a library at Shree Public Secondary School, located in Chhapiya, Siyari Rural Municipality-4, Rupandehi, Lumbini Province.
The library was inaugurated on Dec 27.
The library was constructed with the active participation of the school and local government, aimed at providing essential educational resources to students and fostering an excellent academic environment.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Siyari Rural Municipality Chairperson Mr. Thaneshwar Ghimire, NIC Asia Bank’s Provincial Head for Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim, Mr. Tilak Sundar Karki, and representatives from the school, among others.
This facility is expected to benefit approximately 2,700 students and faculty members directly.
NIC Asia Bank has previously established libraries in several schools across Nepal, including:
- Shree Bala Sundari Secondary School, Bhagwanpur-1, Siraha, Madhesh Province
- Shree Pavitra Secondary School, Bandipur-1, Tanahun, Gandaki Province
- Shree Mohanyal Secondary School, Joshipur-1, Kailali, Sudurpaschim Province
- Shree Adarsha Secondary School, Buddhashanti-2, Jhapa, Koshi Province
- Shree Gaurigunj Secondary School, Gaurigunj-3, Jhapa, Koshi Province
Additionally, library buildings have been handed over to Shree Siddhartha Secondary School in Birgunj Metropolitan City-14, Parsa, Madhesh Province, and Shree Birendra Adarsha Secondary School in Rapti Municipality-7, Chitwan, Bagmati Province.
With a total budget allocation of Rs 20.53 million, the initiative aims to benefit over 11,000 students across these schools.
NIC Asia Bank believes these libraries will significantly enhance students’ access to books and learning materials, improving their academic performance and contributing to personal development.
