Purna Bahadur Nepali approved as Nepal’s Ambassador to Sri Lanka
The Parliamentary Hearing Committee under the Federal Parliament approved his nomination during a meeting held on Sunday at Singha Durbar.
KATHMANDU: Purna Bahadur Nepali has been unanimously approved as Nepal’s Residential Ambassador to Sri Lanka and Non-Residential Ambassador to the Maldives.
The Parliamentary Hearing Committee under the Federal Parliament approved his nomination during a meeting held on Sunday at Singha Durbar.
Following the session, Committee Chair Ishwari Devi Neupane confirmed the unanimous decision to endorse Nepali for the diplomatic roles.
On Dec 1, the government proposed Nepali as the Residential Ambassador to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and the Non-Residential Ambassador to the Republic of Maldives.
The committee also urged the government to ensure inclusivity in future recommendations for state positions.
Additionally, it thanked the government for promoting inclusivity in the current nomination process.
