Man held with 9mm pistol in Koteshwor

KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Valley Police Office, Ranipokhari, apprehended a man with a 9mm pistol in Koteshwor today.

The arrested individual has been identified as 33-year-old Sunrise Khadka, a resident of Narephat, Ward 32, Kathmandu Metropolitan City, according to SSP Binod Ghimire, spokesperson for the Kathmandu Valley Police Office.

“Our team arrested Khadka from Hotel Vishpul based on confidential information about ongoing arms dealings in the Koteshwor area,” SSP Ghimire stated.

Police recovered a 9mm pistol, a magazine, and nine rounds of ammunition from Khadka’s possession. Further investigation into the case is underway, Ghimire added.
