President Paudel issues ordinance on cooperatives

KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Paudel has issued an ordinance related to cooperatives.

Upon the government’s recommendation, President Paudel promulgated the “Ordinance to Amend Some Nepal Acts Related to Cooperatives, 2081.”

According to a statement from the President’s Office, the ordinance was issued in accordance with Article 114, Subsection (1) of the Constitution of Nepal, on the advice of the Council of Ministers.

The ordinance was brought forward to address issues currently affecting the cooperative sector, as the Parliament is not in session.
