Rabi’s statement in cooperative embezzlement case ends

KATHMANDU: The statement of Rabi Lamichhane, President of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSSP) and former Home Minister, has been completed.

He was questioned in connection with the embezzlement of savings from the Surydarshan Cooperative Society in Pokhara.

The statement, which began on Thursday, was concluded on Friday, as confirmed by the court’s registrar, Rajan Khanal.

The statement was taken in the court of District Judge Nitij Rai.

Along with Lamichhane, former DIG Chhabilal Joshi and Lila Pachaĩ have also completed their statements.

The government attorney’s office has filed charges in the District Court of Kaski related to cooperative fraud, money laundering, and organized crime.
