KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has paid tribute to former Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, who passed away on Thursday at the age of 92.

Expressing his condolences through social media, PM Oli honored the late Singh’s legacy and recalled their discussions on matters of mutual interest between Nepal and India.

“I deeply mourn the passing of former Indian Prime Minister, renowned economist, and my friend, Dr. Manmohan Singh, at the age of 92. I fondly remember our dialogues on issues of mutual interest between Nepal and India. My heartfelt condolences to his family and prayers for his eternal peace,” he stated.

Dr. Manmohan Singh, a respected leader and economist, served as India’s Prime Minister from 2004 to 2014.

His demise marks a significant loss to the region.
