KATHMANDU: The third installment of Nepal’s popular movie series “Hostel,” titled “Hostel 3,” has unveiled its official poster.

Alongside the poster, the new release date of the movie has been set for March 7, 2025. The movie will premiere in Nepal as well as in various other countries, according to director Sushant Kandel.

The poster offers the first glimpse of the movie, showcasing four main characters in a playful mood, hinting at a comedic storyline.

Set against a basketball court, the poster features the lead male characters engaging in fun activities.

These four main characters are Aashish Ghimire, Paras Bam (Cool Boy), Rihan Giri, and Padam Tamang.

The poster was designed by Rakesh Dahal.

The jovial expressions and humorous depiction of the characters suggest the film will deliver a lighthearted and vibrant narrative. “Hostel 3” is expected to portray the struggles, friendships, and fun moments of campus life.

Directed by Sushant Kandel and written by Madhav Sharma, the story is based on an original concept by the director himself. The movie is produced under Sammaan Entertainment in collaboration with Aaron Khan Films.

Producers Karna Karki and Govinda Adhikari, along with co-producer Suresh Kandel and executive producer Shankar Koirala, have worked on the project.

The “Hostel” series, which began with “Hostel” and “Hostel Returns,” has enjoyed great success and popularity among the youth audience.

The third installment is anticipated to continue this legacy and serve as a launchpad for new talent in the Nepali film industry. It stars a fresh lineup of actors, including Paras, Rihan, Ashish, Padam, Simran Pant, Hena Nagarkoti, Umar Khan, Sama Parajuli, Santosh Baniya, Rohan Shrestha, Aashish, and others.

The technical team boasts a lineup of experienced professionals, including Arjun Tiwari as Director of Photography (DOP), with cinematography by Buddha Thapa and Manoj Khatri.

Sudip Kunwar serves as the chief assistant director, while Yam Prasad Oli leads production design.

The music composition is handled by Arjun Pokharel, Almoda Rana Uprety, Mahesh Gyawali, and Kiran Michael. Editing is by Bikash Dahal, with choreography by Prabin Singh and Roshan Bishwakarma. The action sequences are directed by Himal KC.

The movie’s distribution in Nepal is managed by RR Films and Kafiya Films. With the anticipation of becoming a landmark project, “Hostel 3” is set to captivate audiences and add another feather to the series’ cap.
