KATHMANDU: The music video Sanumaya, a collaboration between Visual Arts Studio and Tauwa Studio, has been officially released.

Set against the backdrop of the Bhutanese Nepali community, the video presents a poignant love story intertwined with themes of identity, struggle, and love.

It explores the emotional depths of identity crises, conflicts between love and career, and the social challenges faced by the community.

Directed by Vivek Rasaily, the video features performances by Miruna Magar, Deepak Rasaily, and Prem Subba. Miruna’s character navigates the turmoil of choosing between love and career, reflecting the dilemmas and hardships stemming from a lack of societal recognition.

Miruna portrays a young woman from the Bhutanese Nepali community who faces the pressure of making a life-altering decision. Her role vividly captures the social challenges and personal struggles caused by the absence of identity within her community.

Sanumaya artistically depicts the cultural traditions, love, and identity struggles of the Bhutanese Nepali community.
