Van carrying chocolates seized in Birgunj

KATHMANDU: The Armed Police Force on Dec 25 seized a magic van carrying various types of chocolates at the Powerhouse Chowk in Birgunj Metropolitan City-14, Parsa district.

The van, with the registration number Na 1 Ja 7845, was illegally transporting chocolates from India to Nepal.

The seizure was made under the command of Armed Police Deputy Superintendent Lokendra Subba, as part of a security operation by the Border Security Force at the proposed border post in Birgunj.

The seized chocolates and van, with a customs value of Rs 1 million, have been handed over to the relevant authorities for further action.

The driver of the vehicle remains at large.
