Sarlahi’s Ward Chair Nandlal Mahato passes away at 69

KATHMANDU: The Ward Chair of Basbaria Rural Municipality-3 in Sarlahi, Nandlal Mahato, has passed away at the age of 69.

He died on Wednesday night at the BP Koirala Memorial Hospital in Bharatpur while undergoing treatment for cancer.

According to Basbaria Rural Municipality Chair Ramsinghson Raya, Mahato’s last rites will be conducted today.

Mahato was elected as the Ward Chair from the Nepali Congress party.

Basbaria Rural Municipality has declared a day of mourning in the village today.
