Rabi Lamichhane’s statement to begin today after delays
Pending turn schedules caused delays on Monday and Tuesday, and a public holiday on Wednesday.
KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party President and suspended MP Rabi Lamichhane’s statement is set to begin today after a two-day wait at Kaski District Court.
Pending turn schedules caused delays on Monday and Tuesday, and a public holiday on Wednesday.
Following the registration of the case, House Speaker Devraj Ghimire suspended Lamichhane from his MP position.
Statements from co-accused Chhabilal Joshi, a former DIG and Gorkha Media VP, were completed on Tuesday.
Joshi is accused of fraud, money laundering, and organized crime.
Proceedings with another co-accused, Lila Pachaee, delayed Lamichhane’s turn. After Pachaee’s statement, Lamichhane will testify.
The court will decide whether to release Lamichhane and others on bail, a general date, or send them to judicial custody.
