Earthquake strikes Jajarkot

KATHMANDU: An earthquake struck Jajarkot on Thursday morning at 6:36 AM, with its epicenter near Nayakwada.

According to the National Seismological Center, the quake measured 4.2 magnitude on the Richter scale.

Tremors were felt in surrounding districts as well.

On Nov 3, 2023, a devastating 6.4 magnitude earthquake, with its epicenter at Ramidanda, Barekot Rural Municipality-1, claimed over 150 lives in the same region.
