Kedia Group unveils logo & slogan for NVL (with photos)

KATHMANDU: Kedia Group has officially unveiled the logo and slogan for the Men’s Franchise Volleyball League, Nepal Volleyball League (NVL).
The unveiling ceremony was held on Tuesday in the presence of Youth and Sports Minister Tejulal Chaudhary.
Minister Chaudhary revealed the NVL logo during the event, while he and Kedia Group Chair Bimal Kedia jointly launched the slogan “Uchhāiko Naya Udaan” (A New Flight of Heights).
Kedia Group’s director, Ashwin Kedia, explained that the slogan was chosen to reflect the ambition of taking Nepali volleyball to new heights.
The inaugural season of the Nepal Volleyball League will commence in March 2025.
The league will feature top players from across Nepal, along with international players, ensuring a high level of competition.
The event aims to create new opportunities for players while elevating Nepali volleyball to international standards.
NVL’s Admin and Operations Head, Bikash Khetan, revealed that six teams will participate in the first season.
The matches will be played on a single round-robin basis, spanning 9 days with a total of 15 matches. The top two teams will compete in the final.
Each team will comprise 9 Nepali players and 3 foreign players, totaling 12 players per team.
In May 2024, Kedia Group and the Nepal Volleyball Association signed a seven-year agreement for the franchise league.
As per the agreement, Kedia Group will provide 3.5 million Nepali rupees annually to the association.
Chair Bimal Kedia emphasized that the goal of the Nepal Volleyball League is to elevate the national sport of volleyball to new heights on both national and international platforms.
The event also honored the U-20 Nepali national team members who won the silver medal at the CAVA men’s volleyball tournament in Sri Lanka, rewarding them with cash prizes.
With a legacy spanning 125 years, Kedia Group has made significant contributions across various sectors, including economics, education, social, spiritual, health, and sports.
