Kushal Malla to play in ILT20 season three
Malla has been signed by Desert Vipers.
KATHMANDU: Nepal’s national team power hitter Kushal Malla is set to feature in the third season of the UAE’s ILT20 franchise league.
Malla will represent Desert Vipers after being signed as a replacement for injured Netherlands all-rounder Bas de Leede.
A left-handed batsman and left-arm spinner, Malla made his ODI debut in February 2020 against the USA at the age of just 15 years and 340 days.
He is Nepal’s fifth-highest run-scorer in T20Is, with 917 runs in 47 matches, including one century and four fifties.
In the 2023 Asian Games, Malla smashed an unbeaten 137 runs against Mongolia, hitting eight fours and 12 sixes.
His innings stands as the third-highest individual score in men’s T20 history.
Malla’s participation in ILT20 is a significant milestone for Nepali cricket, showcasing his talent on an international platform.
