25th Budha Subba Gold Cup football tournament to kick off from Feb 1
The winner of the tournament will receive a cash prize of 1 million rupees, while the runner-up will get 500,000 rupees.
KATHMANDU: The 25th edition of the International Budha Subba Gold Cup Football Tournament will begin on Feb 1.
The competition, scheduled to run from Feb 1-8, was announced by Pratap Tamang, Chair of Dharan Football Club.
Participating teams include NRT Club Kathmandu, League Champion Church Boys Club, Nepal Police Club, Bhutan Football Academy, Tribhuvan Army Club, National Jagriti Club Itahari, UK Football Club India, Machhindra Club Kathmandu, Kakadbhitta Football Training Centre Jhapa, and the host, Dharan Football Club.
The winner of the tournament will receive a cash prize of 1 million rupees, while the runner-up will get 500,000 rupees.
Additional awards include 100,000 rupees for the Best Player, 15,000 rupees for the Man of the Match in each game, 35,000 rupees for the top scorer, and 25,000 rupees for the Best Goalkeeper, Best Defender, Best Midfielder, Best Striker, and Best Coach.
