KATHMANDU: Two individuals have been arrested by the Nepal Police for inappropriate behavior during the final match of the Nepal Premier League (NPL).

The arrested individuals are 21-year-old Ashok Saud from Adarsha Rural Municipality, Doti, and 19-year-old Ganesh Saud from Dipayal Silgadhi Municipality, Doti.

The information was provided by Superintendent of Police Nawaraj Adhikari from the District Police Complex Kathmandu.

The incident occurred following the match between Janakpur Bolts and Sudurpashchim Royals, held on Dec 21 at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, organized by the Cricket Association Nepal (CAN).

After the match, a dispute broke out among several individuals.

During the altercation, some individuals used offensive language, attempted to disrupt communal harmony, and engaged in inappropriate behavior towards others. B

ased on complaints from victims, investigations were conducted, leading to the arrest of the two suspects through various authorities and media.

The police have stated that efforts to identify and apprehend other individuals involved in the incident are ongoing.
