KATHMANDU: Global IME Bank Limited (GIBL) has launched the “Global Haat Bazaar” to facilitate the marketing of products produced by small, medium, and micro entrepreneurs who have received loans from the bank.

This initiative aims to enhance market access for their goods.

Adopting the slogan “Entrepreneur’s Product, Global IME’s Promotion,” the bank will host the Haat Bazaar every Friday at its Kamaladi branch in Kathmandu.

The event will showcase products created by SMEs supported by the bank.

The Chief Executive Officer of Global IME Bank, Surendra Raj Regmi, inaugurated the Haat Bazaar.

Regmi highlighted that the primary objective of the Haat Bazaar is to expand the market reach of SMEs contributing to a sustainable and green economy.

He also emphasized that the initiative would promote organic, indigenous, and local products, thus providing a platform for Nepalese producers to gain recognition.

“This is a small but symbolic campaign. In this way, we can promote our organic, indigenous, and local products. These SMEs are the backbone of our economy.

Moreover, it is the bank’s responsibility to consume and promote the products created by our borrowers,” he said.

The Haat Bazaar will feature pesticide-free agricultural products, indigenous crops, locally produced handicrafts, decorative plants, and more, all available for display and sale.
