Movie ‘Soltini’ unveils poster, shooting to begin soon

KATHMANDU: The poster for the upcoming Nepali film Soltini has been unveiled ahead of its shooting.
The film’s announcement was accompanied by a brief video offering initial insights into its storyline and themes.
With the release of the poster, director Arjun Subedi has hinted that the shooting process will begin soon.
The poster features actors Prakash Saput and Parisha Limbu in a portrayal of love and separation. Saput will play the role of Bhimsen Pokhrel, while Limbu will portray Dilasa Rai.
This marks the first time the pair will be seen together on screen, generating significant interest among the audience. The poster was designed by Royal Bhimsen (Trident Concept).
Soltini will be shot in the beautiful natural surroundings of Bhojpur and aims to raise awareness against caste discrimination and inhumanity in society.
Director Subedi also mentioned that the love story between the main characters will add an intriguing layer to the film.
Alongside Saput and Limbu, the film will feature Wilson Bikram Rai, Sabbu Gurung, Ravindra Jha, Prakash Ghirmire, Prem Subba, Kavita Ale, Sundar Dhital, and Sujan Khatiwada.
The film’s music is composed by Prashant Sivakoti and Hercules Basnet, with cinematography by Sushan Prajapati. The screenplay is written by Arjun Subedi and Kumar Bhattarai.
Presented by Planet Three Films in collaboration with Nepcine and Yolo Entertainment, Saltini is produced by Regina Bista and Sansar Chaulagain.
The film will be distributed in Nepal by RR Films Pvt. Ltd. and internationally by Nepcine, with digital rights purchased by OSR Digital.
The shooting is set to begin by the end of this month, with a release date scheduled for 19 Sept, 2025, coinciding with Nepal’s Constitution Day.
