KATHMANDU: Rabi Lamichhane, President of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and former Home Minister, was presented at the District Court of Kaski on Sunday morning.

The District Government Attorney’s Office is preparing to file charges against him for cooperative fraud, organized crime, and money laundering.

On Friday, the Government Attorney’s Office filed a case against 19 individuals, including G.B. Rai, in relation to the Sunydarshan Cooperative case in Pokhara.

Lamichhane, who was arrested from the party’s central office in Bansthali on Oct 18, has been in police custody for 65 days.

Kaski police submitted a report to the Government Attorney’s Office, naming Lamichhane and 51 others as defendants, with a claim for the recovery of 1.51 billion rupees in damages.
