Hostel 3 completes principal shooting in 49 days
Hostel 3 is the much-awaited film in the Hostel franchise, which is considered a platform for emerging talent in Nepali cinema.
KATHMANDU: The principal shooting of the movie Hostel 3 has been completed in 49 days, concluding on Friday.
However, due to the need for some actors to undergo body transformations, director Sashan Kandel has informed that an additional week of shoot is required.
Currently, the film is in its post-production phase. Although it was initially scheduled for release on Feb 28, it will no longer meet that date, and the new release date will be announced shortly by the production team.

The third installment is expected to be a significant entry point for new actors into the industry.
The movie features a talented cast, including Paras Bam, Rihan Giri, Ashish Ghimire, Padam Tamang, Simran Pant, Hena Nagarhoti, Umar Khan, Sama Parajuli, Santosh Baniya, Rohan Shrestha, and Aashish Purush.
The Hostel series has been known for launching fresh faces in Nepali cinema, with previous stars like Anmol KC, Swastima Khadka, Sushil Shrestha, Najir Hussein, Salon Basnet, Prakriti Shrestha, and Sushil Sitaula emerging from the franchise.
The script for Hostel 3 has been written by Madhav Sharma, with the story also penned by director Kandel.
The film is being produced by Samman Entertainment in collaboration with Aaron Kan Films.
Arjun Tiwari serves as the DOP, while the cinematography is handled by Buddha Thapa and Manoj Khatri.
The film’s crew also includes Sudip Kunwar as the main assistant director, Yam Prasad Oli as the production designer, Shankar Koirala as the executive producer, and Karn Karki and Govind Adhikari as producers, with Suresh Kandel serving as co-producer.
