Parsa’s Sakhua Prasouni Municipality declares public holiday to celebrate Janakpur Bolts’ NPL victory

KATHMANDU: Sakhua Prasouni Rural Municipality in Parsa has declared a public holiday today (Sunday) to celebrate the victory of Janakpur Bolts in the Nepal Premier League (NPL) trophy.

The decision for the holiday was made during the executive meeting held on Saturday.

According to a notice issued by the municipality, the holiday applies to all ward offices, educational institutions, banks and financial institutions, and health posts, except for essential services.

Janakpur Bulls won the title of the inaugural NPL season on Saturday, defeating Sudurpashchim Royals by 5 wickets in the final match held at the Tribhuvan Cricket Ground.

The tournament, which began on Mangsir 15, featured participation from 8 teams.
