NPL final: Sudurpashchim Royals won the toss & chose to bat
Earlier in the league stage and first qualifier, Sudurpashchim had comfortably defeated Janakpur in both encounters.
KATHMANDU: Sudurpashchim Royals, led by captain Dipendra Singh Airee, won the toss and chose to bat first in the final of the Siddhartha Bank Nepal Premier League (NPL) against Janakpur Bolts.
Earlier in the league stage and first qualifier, Sudurpashchim had comfortably defeated Janakpur in both encounters.
In the 18th match of the league stage, Sudurpashchim handed Janakpur a heavy 72-run defeat. Chasing a target of 124 runs, Janakpur was dismissed for just 51 runs.
The two teams also met in the first qualifier, where Sudurpashchim emerged victorious by 8 wickets, securing a direct spot in the final.
Janakpur, on the other hand, made it to the final after defeating Karnali Yaks by 2 wickets in the second qualifier.
Janakpur’s lineup for the final remains unchanged from their victory over Karnali in the second qualifier.
