Court files charges against 19, including GB Rai
The District Government Attorney's Office of Kaski presented supplementary charges and claims for compensation in court.
KATHMANDU: The Kaski District Court has registered charges against 19 individuals, including GB Rai, in the ongoing Sunrise Cooperative fraud case.
This follows previous legal proceedings involving GB Rai and others.

The new charges come as the cooperative’s assets were linked to Gorkha Media, alleging organized crime.
Among the 51 individuals involved, prominent figures such as former Gorkha Media Network Managing Director Rabi Lamichhane, network operator and former DIG Chhabilal Joshi Banjade, Leela Pachai, Ram Bahadur Khanal, and Krishna Bahadur Gurung are facing charges.
The Kaski police have submitted a report to the Government Attorney’s Office, naming Lamichhane and others as defendants, with a claim for compensation amounting to Rs 1.51 billion.
The charges against these 51 individuals are expected to be officially filed by Sunday.
