Two held in Dharan with controlled medicine

KATHMANDU: Two individuals were arrested in Dharan-15 by police for possessing controlled substances.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team from the temporary post at Bargachi raided the residence of 30-year-old Diken Rai on Thursday.

The raid led to the seizure of 4,400 capsules of the controlled drugs Tramadol and Spaspen, along with Rs 21,500 in cash.

Both Diken Rai and 23-year-old Sumitra Rai were arrested.

Further investigation is underway by the local police in Dharan.
