Home Minister directs action over leak of Rabi Lamichhane’s detention photo

KATHMANDU: Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has directed action against those responsible for making public a photograph of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane, who is currently in police custody in Kaski.

Issuing instructions to investigate the leak, Minister Lekhak emphasized holding the culprits accountable.

On Thursday, he directed Inspector General of Police (IGP) Basanta Bahadur Kunwar to conduct a thorough inquiry into the matter.

“I have instructed the IGP to investigate the incident and ensure those responsible face legal action,” Minister Lekhak stated. “The police are currently investigating the image claimed to be from detention.”
