KATHMANDU: The play ‘Hari Hajurba’ is set to be staged at Mandala Theatre in Thapagaun starting today.
The play will run until Sunday, January 12, with daily performances except on Mondays.
On Saturdays, there will be two shows: one at 1 PM and another at 5:15 PM.
This production marks the return of actor Nazir Hussain to the theatre after nearly a decade. Nazir is responsible for the play’s writing, conceptualization, and direction.
The play explores the impact of conflict and the depth of human relationships.
Nazir Hussain himself will be performing alongside actor Bijay Baral, as well as Reulsang, Sabina Thapa, Rohit Shah, Sujana Pandey, Manish Pandey, and Risu Raut.
Bijay Baral will be making his stage comeback after the play ‘Mitjtyu.’
‘Hari Hajurba’ tells the poignant story of a young postman named Hari delivering letters and a grandfather awaiting his granddaughter, who went missing during a conflict.
The play’s narrative draws inspiration from poetry, transforming it into a structured theatrical performance. It aims to soothe the wounds left by conflict.
According to the ‘Hari Hajurba’ team, the play’s message and presentation are designed to offer audiences a profound experience. The play is produced by actors Dayahang Rai and Buddhi Tamang.
