KATHMANDU: In the ongoing U-19 Women’s Asia Cup in Malaysia, Nepal won the toss against Sri Lanka and opted to bowl first.

Both teams reached the Super 4 stage by securing top 2 positions in their respective groups.
Nepal defeated Pakistan while their match against India was washed out due to rain. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka beat Malaysia but lost to Bangladesh.
This is Nepal’s first time reaching the Super 4 stage of the U-19 Women’s Asia Cup.
In the Super 4, Nepal will also face Bangladesh on Friday. The top two teams from the Super 4 will play for the championship title on Sunday. India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh have all qualified for this round.
Nepal qualified for the Asia Cup after securing a spot in the U-19 Women’s World Cup, which will be held in Malaysia in January 2025.
In the World Cup, Nepal is in Group D alongside Australia, Bangladesh, and Scotland.
