Nepal Telecom alerts public about fake Christmas & New Year gift scams

KATHMANDU: Nepal Telecom has issued a warning regarding fake information circulating on social media platforms like Facebook and Messenger.

The misleading posts, falsely claiming cash prizes and gifts up to Rs. 5,000 for Christmas and New Year, are even using the company’s official logo.

The company urges customers to stay alert and only rely on information shared through Nepal Telecom’s verified social media pages (with the official blue tick), X (formerly Twitter) and its official website.

Customers are advised to disregard any offers or messages not coming from these authentic sources.
