4.7 magnitude earthquake strikes Manang, tremors felt in nearby districts

KATHMANDU: An earthquake of magnitude 4.7 struck Manang early Thursday morning at 7:37 AM, with its epicenter located in the Nesyang area.

According to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center, tremors were felt in the surrounding districts as well.

This comes just a day after a 4.1 magnitude quake hit Bajhang’s Dhamena region on Wednesday.

Earlier, on Tuesday, another 4.3 magnitude earthquake was recorded in the same region.

The series of frequent quakes has raised concerns and anxiety among the residents of affected areas.

Experts have advised maintaining caution and preparedness for potential aftershocks.
