Gold prices drop after two-day increase

KATHMANDU: Gold prices in Nepal have decreased today after rising on Monday and Tuesday.
The price dropped by Rs 700 per tola, settling at Rs 150,700, according to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association.
On Monday, gold prices had increased by Rs 400 per tola, followed by a rise of Rs 200 on Tuesday, totaling a Rs 600 increase over two days.
Previously, on Sunday, gold prices saw a significant drop of Rs 2,200 per tola in a single day.
Silver prices also fell today.
After remaining stable for three days, silver dropped by Rs 5 per tola, setting the price at Rs 1,835 per tola.
In mid-November, gold prices had experienced a sharp decline, losing Rs 18,500 per tola within just two days.
Gold reached a record high on Oct 31, when prices soared to Rs 171,000 per tola.
