KATHMANDU: All-rounders William Bosisto and Yakison Kolshawala’s half-centuries helped Karnali Yakks post a challenging target of 176 runs against Chitwan Rhinos.
Opting to bat first after losing the toss at the TU Ground in Kirtipur, Karnali scored 175 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the full 20 overs.
The winner of this match will advance to Qualifier 2 and face the losing team from Qualifier 1.
Meanwhile, the losing team from this match will be eliminated.
In the league stage, both Chitwan and Karnali won 4 out of 7 matches, securing 8 points each.
However, Chitwan ranked third due to a superior net run rate. Despite a loss to Sudurpaschim in the final league match, Karnali Yakks secured the fourth and final playoff spot by surpassing Kathmandu Gurkhas.
During the league phase, Karnali had defeated Chitwan by 6 wickets.
