OMODA E5 achieves dual five-star safety ratings from Euro NCAP & ANCAP
The OMODA E5 follows in the footsteps of the OMODA 5, which received similar five-star ratings from major safety organizations like Euro NCAP, ANCAP, and ASEAN NCAP.
KATHMANDU: OMODA E5, the latest battery electric vehicle (BEV) from OMODA & JAECOO, has earned a prestigious five-star safety rating from both Euro NCAP and ANCAP, confirming its outstanding performance in global safety standards.
The OMODA E5 follows in the footsteps of the OMODA 5, which received similar five-star ratings from major safety organizations like Euro NCAP, ANCAP, and ASEAN NCAP.
The BEV version of OMODA E5 passed additional crash tests, including frontal offset and oblique pole tests, ensuring top safety performance across all regions. It scored an impressive 87% for Adult Occupant Protection and Child Occupant Protection, with a score of 88% for the Safety Assist system in Euro NCAP.
In ANCAP testing, the E5 earned 87% for Adult Occupant Protection, 88% for Child Occupant Protection, and 83% for Safety Assist.
Key to its safety are advanced structural elements, such as a high-strength steel body with the ratio of 78%. The vehicle includes ultra-high strength steel at the front and reinforced steel in the side pillars.
These features ensure crash stability and minimize cabin deformation during frontal impacts, protecting occupants effectively. The vehicle also excels in child passenger safety, with stable child seat interfaces and optimized airbag protection. The OMODA E5 also stands out for its advanced active safety technologies.
Its Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) system excels in handling potential risks from vulnerable road users, with a broader speed range and quicker response times to mitigate collision risks.
Beyond safety, the OMODA E5 impresses with a range of over 430 km (WLTP), rapid recharging (30% to 80% in 28 minutes), and a quiet driving experience with noise levels as low as 62.9 decibels at 120 km/h. These attributes make it a top contender in terms of both electric range and efficiency.
