KATHMANDU: Manju Malasi has been elected as the Chairperson of the CPN-UML Doti district committee.

The results were announced this morning after voting took place on Monday. Malasi defeated her closest rival, Sher Bahadur Malla, by a margin of 44 votes.

She secured 215 votes, while Malla received 171 votes.

Similarly, Khagendra Badaila has been elected as the Vice-Chairperson. There were four candidates competing for the Vice-Chairperson post.

Padam Raj Bhatt has been elected as Secretary, while Dambar Singh Daudi was elected as the Open Deputy Secretary, and Bisna Singh secured the position of Women’s Deputy Secretary.

The district convention of UML Doti had faced multiple delays before finally being held.
